SIRES
Stonyridge Locked and Loaded “Gus”
Gus was our first Grif and he is our male. He comes from NAVHDA VC bloodlines and it shows. He has a very intense point and an truly incredible natural retrieve. He got a prize 1 in his NAVHDA Natural Ability test with a score of 110 and we could not be more excited about his future. He is 58 lbs, has a really nice short, dense, medium harsh coat, and his PENN hip score is in the top 20% of the breed. We could not be more excited to have him as our stud dog.
DAMS
Stonyridge Denali Ascent “Sky”
Sky is a year and half old and has just been a fantastic dog already. She has a wonderful build and structure to go along with a very sweet personality. She is a total family dog who loves any and all attention from our kids. She is very loyal and very eager to please. She consistently works around 35-50 yards ahead but will range out to 100. She likes to check in and hunt as a team as a loyal hunting companion. Her PENN hip score is in the top 20% of the breed. She got a 98 prize II in her NAVHDA natural ability hunt test and is a very natural swimmer and retriever as well. She is 52 pounds with more furnishings than Gus and a really nice head and ear set. We are excited to see what her first litter is like and watch her continue to grow in the field!
Brownlee Centurion Cedo Alteram “Willow” (Deceased)
Willow is out of HG’s Cota’s Keoki and Brownlee Tochter of Sky. She won a prize 1 in her NAVHDA Natural Ability test with a score of 112 and her PENN Hip score is in the top 10% of the breed. She has more furnishings than our other grifs with a medium dense, medium harsh coat, and is on the smaller side at 42 lbs. She was backing naturally at 1.5 years of age and is extremely biddable. We are sorry to report that Willow was involved in an accident in Summer 2024 and has passed away. To me, she was at the pinnacle of what you look for in a grif-fantastic in every way as a hunting dog with a complete ‘off’ switch in the home and with the family. She will be missed and we plan on bringing her bloodlines back into our breeding program.
